Overview

Learfield is actively adding a Director of Campus+ Partnerships to work from Chapel Hill, NC for Tar Heel Sports Properties (THSP). Ideal candidates will have significant experience developing, selling, and executing strategic and complex corporate marketing partnerships. This position will be responsible for creating and selling Campus+ campus-wide partnerships with multiple stakeholders while also building and maintaining relationships with existing corporate partners.

 

Ideal candidates will also have a deep understanding of campus and academic structures. This position will be the liaison between Tar Heel Sports Properties and the University Office of Campus Enterprises, and other University stakeholders for coordination of all Campus+ sales activities, and thus will work side by side with the University developing a strategic approach with each university partner to create a high level of confidence.

 

Tar Heel Sports Properties is Learfield’s local, dedicated entity representing the University of North Carolina. In complete collaboration with the university, this team is committed to extending the affinity of the Tar Heels' brand to businesses and corporations of all sizes looking to align with loyal and passionate college students, faculty, staff, alumni, and fans. As the exclusive multimedia rights holder for the University of North Carolina, Tar Heel Sports Properties manages all aspects of the rights relationship, providing corporate partners both traditional and new media opportunities with the Tar Heels in which to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through traditional and new platforms and programs.

Building off Learfield’s existing athletics multi-media rights relationships, businesses and industries will foster dynamic and innovative “best in-class” university partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales development for Campus+ Partnership Programs in collaboration with property Vice President/General Manager 
  • Prospect for new and expanded business opportunities in collaboration with property VP/GM 
  • Create proposals, contracts, and additional materials needed for Campus+ sales
  • Conduct market research, and historical analysis on categorical opportunities
  • Manage contract fulfillment and activation of any Campus+ agreements
  • Provide leadership and support on campus-wide initiatives at UNC
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable culture
  • Proactively advance new Campus+ sales initiatives
  • Work in conjunction on any financial reports, pipelines or other special projects
  • Carry out both internal and external communications on behalf of Campus+
  • Communicate regularly with property VP/GM and Campus+ Regional VP
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years selling comprehensive marketing partnerships including significant deals with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience building and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders 
  • Results driven and thrives working in a competitive work environment
  • Must possess executive presence
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated while also team oriented
  • A general curiosity for appropriate industries and ability to strategize their solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
